Welcome to Bradford on Avon Boat Club

Bradford on Avon Boat Club is situated on an idyllic stretch of river opposite Barton Farm Country Park and the 14th century Tithe Barn just to the west of the town centre.

There is a mile long stretch of river suitable for rowing, from the boat club to the weir at Avoncliff.  Canoeists are also able to access the stretch of river through the centre of town up to or beyond the Greenland Mills weir.

Both the rowing and canoeing sides of the club cater for all ages from Junior to Masters and for all abilities from complete beginner to Olympian.  Learn to row and paddling courses are offered several times a year.

The club has a fantastic set of club boats and kayaks for use by members. In December 2020 the club gained planning permission for the redevelopment of the two boathouses.

The club membership are involved in helping with community events and activities.  The members played a key role during 2020 with the maintenance work of the Avoncliff weir.  We also support with river clean up events and the BoA duck race. BoABC offer coaching to local schools.

Many members live in Bradford on Avon and the surrounding area but the club also attracts members from as far afield as Cirencester and Wincanton.
