About Us

Bradford on Avon Rowing Club was founded in 1873.

A history of the club can be found on the 1973 Newsletter  and the The Phoenix May 1971 was I believe the first edition of the club Magazine.

Some early photographs can be found on the  Bradford on Avon Museum website

BOARC Great War Commemorative Stone There is a  Commemorative Stone located near the the Clubhouse detailing members who lost their lives in the Great War

We are an active club supporting both Rowing and Canoeing.

Our recent success stories are Ed McKeever winning a Gold Medal at the London Olympics and Hannah Brown the Wild Water Sprint World Championships at Solkan, Slovenia in June 2013.

The club hopes to create a traditional, multi-purpose boathouse for use by other sports groups training in Barton Farm Country Park, as well as providing a centre for those holding sports events in that area.

Further details can be seen by following the links on our December 2013 post.new boathouseOur club rules and policies can be found on our documents page (click here).
