Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Impact on the Club

I am writing this short note to set out the basic arrangements that will apply with immediate effect to the use of the club and its facilities.

The Captain and Commodore will respond to your specific enquiries.

Broadly we need to respond to British Rowing and British Canoeing guidance. Accordingly the only on water activity will be in single sculls and single kayaks. If you do choose to go out on the water you must notify at least one other person so as to ensure that your activity is known.

Members may use the ergos, but only in the open air and spaced at least 2m apart.

Any equipment or facilities used whilst at the club must be cleaned before and after use.

Any attendance at the club is entirely up to members to decide upon individually.

If you have any of the symptoms described by Public Health England relating to Coronavirus you must not come to the club at all until you are given the all clear.

The Committee will continue to review the situation as it develops and as advice is forthcoming. It should be noted that some clubs have already decided to close their facilities entirely.
