About Us

The club has a growing membership across its Men, Women, Veterans and Junior squads, and offers a full range of both sweep and sculling boats. We have weights and ergos to help members keep up their fitness over the winter months.

We cater for all levels of experience so even if you have never rowed before there is the opportunity to develop within the club. Starting in stable boats you can learn to sweep row or scull with an experience coach. You would then move into fine boats with the relevant squad and continue to receive coaching and support. All our coaches are also active crew members so have every opportunity to practice what they preach!

For the more experienced rower, whether out for a Sunday paddling or inspiring to be in a Henley crew there’s a boat for you.

Those wishing to race have plenty of opportunity with the club frequently entering events across the country or closer to home. As well as continuing to compete through the winter head race season club members can take part in the winter training programme to fit through the cold and maximise their potential for when the sun comes out and the regatta season starts.

The Senior Men’s and Women’s and Junior squads have an online availability system to assist with planning outings to ensure everyone can get out onto the water. This also gives members the flexibility to put in the level of commitment most  suitable to them as we are only too aware there are career and family demands to balance with rowing.

If you are interested in learning or returning to rowing please contact us through the Contact Us page, otherwise feel free to come down to the club to meet us.

Our club rules and policies can be found on our documents page (click here).
